Big Rain

Yesterday, Southern Ontario was hammered by some rather remarkable weather. Lots of tornado warnings, lots of severe thunderstorm and wind warnings, and this morning’s jog around the block required occasionally reroutes around fallen trees and branches.

It’s always amazing to me how fragile life really is. How much of it is out of our control. The storm yesterday felt like a reminder of that.

Today, the sun is shining, the birds are singing, and the city has sent out teams to deal with the debris and wreckage. Everything is slowly getting back to normal, and life is resuming its usual pace.

Feels kinda surreal. But I am grateful that I got to witness the storm, and happy that I’m on the other side of it now.

Hope everyone out there is staying safe and healthy!
