Gentle Snow

I’ve mentioned (many times) how I don’t like the cold. I accept that it will be cold for about 6 months of the year, due to where I live and the way both “geography” and “weather” work, but I don’t like it.

That stated, today is a chilly day and there is gently falling snow. Fluttering? Big, slow flakes that don’t “fall” so much as they twist on slight breezes and air currents to eventually land on the ground.

It’s actually quite pretty. The world is rendered almost monochromatic, making the occasional flash of colour from lights or birds all the more impressive. It’s nice.

Would I rather be warm, someplace sunny? Or even warm in someplace that was raining (but it was still warm)? Yes. A thousand times yes.

But since I am not there, and I am here… I can at least appreciate the weather for what it’s worth.

Hope everyone out there is staying safe and healthy!
